About Us
Who We Are
The South Sound Healers Network (SSHN) was formed with the intention of creating a professional circle amongst local holistic practitioners and local green businesses, and as an educational resource for the greater South Puget Sound region. We are working to raise awareness about natural health care options and services, and to strengthen the presence of local healers within our community.
We promote health and wellness in individuals and communities through education about natural health care and local resources. Acting as change agents, we envision preventive medicine as mainstream and encourage living in balance with nature. Our membership includes the diversity of many healing arts professionals and local green businesses. We provide support, networking and referrals for each other as practitioners, healing and strengthening our community. Our practitioners are located in the South Puget Sound region of Washington state.
Our Story
The South Sound Healers Network was formed in late 2004 by Jennifer LeMay in an effort to find and unite holistic practitioners in the area. In the beginning, the network started out as an online list-serv discussion group and by February 2006 began hosting monthly meetings to encourage communication between members. We now have members spanning from South King County, Pierce and Thurston Counties!
2007 brought the manifestation of our original website and further plans for community events. Additionally, we have participated in many expos and health fairs around the region. Our group continues to grow exponentially and appreciates your support. If you have comments or would like to know more, please contact us!
